Thank you for this. As a woman in the U.S., I am horrified by the continued attack on our freedoms by Donald Trump, the Republicans holding power in the House and Senate, and many of my fellow Americans. I worry about women in developing nations not having access to information and services that will keep them safe, but I also worry about the exact same thing happening here.

Keep inspiring. I had a friend trying to explain to me that is it just not physically possible for women to beat men in endurance sports. You and many other athletes prove this statement to be false. We just have less women competing is all. Thank you for stepping up and supporting this cause.

Well stated. The Republican Party has become cult-like in their shortsighted approach to social issues and overall governance for that matter. The pro-birthers (I used to be one) fail to dig beneath the surface to see the real damage their policies result in — only make sure the child is brought to life but then abandon all concern for that child thereafter.

The only good thing to come from the election of 2016 is that republicans won it all, because this gives them free reign to show their real colors and that is what will ultimately be their undoing with their heavy-handed overreach. It’s on full display and it’s very off-putting.
